I reported to Sartori as instructed at 6 a.m.! Assigned a room and prepared for my EGD by Dr. Mujica set for 7 a.m. The nurse got the paperwork done and got the IV in place. The phone rang at 6:50 and the doctor informed all he was called to emergency surgery so relax. The nurses moved ahead getting future patients checked in, kept checking back with me and assured me the “show will go on” shortly. It did! Meanwhile, I was wheeled in the procedure room, told what to expect and when the doctor appeared, 10 minutes later, sedation was started and I went to sleep. I woke up about an hour later and said goodbye to the smoothest medical experience anyone could expect. Well trained and pleasant nurses, a doctor explaining the procedure in detail, and even with a short delay a patient experience worth talking or writing about!
