I just wanted to write a note of thanks regarding my son’s recent surgery at Covenant. He is 18 months old and was getting tubes in his ears and his adenoids out.
Every person that we encountered – from the person at the check-in desk to the nurse that walked me out with my son at the end of the day - were courteous and very attentive to our needs.
I would especially like to thank a few different people:
–Ann: the nurse that took Graysen back to the operating room. She held him and promised to take good care of him. Ann also personally walked out to the waiting room to tell us that the surgery was just getting started (a little late) because it took a bit to get his IV in, but that he was doing fine.
–Danette, Melissa and Maribeth (our post-op nurses): We changed nurses a few times, but each transition was very smooth. Each nurse checked on us several times and asked repeatedly if there was anything they could get us. The cushy recliner was much appreciated! Thanks for all of the encouragement during a very long day. :)
–Sarah: The nice young lady that answered the phone when I called back to Ambulatory when we got home because I had forgotten Graysen’s favorite blanket at the hospital. She told me that his blanket was there and that they would be there until at least 6 pm so that we could come retrieve it.
We have five children and four of them have needed tubes, adenoids out, and/or tonsils out over the last 10 years. They have all had their surgeries at Covenant, and with each surgery we have been blessed by the caring staff at Covenant.
