Colonoscopy

17 Feb

I was very glad that I went to Covenant to have my surgery because I received the best treatment from the surgeon, the surgical team, nurses or anyone who was involved. I am awfully glad I went then as I was worried about having cancer. Thanks to everyone.

Eye Surgery

17 Feb

This started out with a normal eye check-up for my glasses and I went straight from there to an eye surgeon and from there he set me up to have eye surgery that very night. Upon arriving the front desk person knew my name when I told her and had all the paper work waiting I then went to lab and then up to surgery and the staff there was waiting for me. I was taken to a room to get ready and the two nurses Jo & Gina were very nice and made me feel very comfortable. Then went down to the surgery room and again was taken very good care of. So I would like to thank all the staff for all they had done for me.

Colonoscopy

10 Feb

I was scheduled for a routine colonoscopy on February 7. Everyone was great – Dr. Quander, Jan, Amber, Julie and Diane but I have to give a huge shout out to Raquel. I had terrible anxiety over getting an IV started that I could hardly sleep the night before. Raquel not only eased my anxiety but started the IV quickly and practically pain free. Thanks, Raquel, you are a Rock Star!

Ambulatory Surgery

31 Jan

My 14 month old son had surgery at in the ambulatory unit at Covenant to have ear tubes placed in his ears. We were greeted by Beth, the admitting RN. She was wonderful. At first, she reminded me of a flight attendant in how she introduced us to the unit but it was done in a way that put me at ease about the upcoming procedure. The other staff was also great. They allowed me to carry my son to the operating room. I appreciated the anesthesiologist explaining how the procedure would go. He took the time to answer my questions. The hostess in the waiting room was also very friendly and offered us cookies while we waited. Danette was our post-op nurse. She was easy to get along with. My son loves to carry around unopened pop cans so Danette gave us one for me and one for my son. The staff offered snacks to myself and ensured that my son had a snack and drink following the procedure. Thank you for a great job done!!

ER & Outpatient Care

27 Jan

I brought my husband, Donavan, to the ER for a number of reasons where we met the most amazing health care providers. We were treated with the utmost respect and compassion ever. He was also faced with an outpatient procedure where again we were treated with such compassion and all of our questions were answered to our understanding. He was hospitalized following his 2nd ER visit and was attended by amazing nurses. While I was waiting on Donavan’s return from many test runs I visited the beautiful gift shop and was truly amazed by the kindness shown by volunteers, Kathy and Linda. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you did and continue to do for others.

Donavan and Roxie S.
